Prescott Gallery is proud to present Camera Travels, a solo exhibition of photographs by Phil Perry from his world travels over the past decade. Camera Travels features cityscapes, scenes and portraits from Cuba, Myanmar, Peru, Mexico and more.
Perry states: “There is a back story to every photograph. The viewer doesn’t see the impending storm or the run to avoid cars, animals, or other people. They don’t smell the odors that permeate like the smoke from a wood fire. The buzz of insects, the frozen fingers or the soaking wet set of clothes are all left behind to provide what I hope is a compelling image that the viewers imagination can then use to fill in the blanks behind the scenes.”
These photographs act as a visual record of Perry's travels, documenting people and places through his artistic interpretation. The gallery is pleased to present this work to viewers in Lincoln so that they may visit these locations alongside the photographer.
Proceeds from the sale of Perry’s work will be donated to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln Department of Art and Art History.
